Sometimes, with a Brightcove video you may notice a reduction in the quality of the video playback when you seek to a new point in the video. For instance, if you skip from chapter to chapter or jump to a time when you click on an annotation.

The core issue is related to a bug around how a Brightcove video buffers when a viewer seeks to a point in the video.

The good news is there's a solution.  Adding the "Flash Player API - Highest Rendition Plugin" will likely solve the issue. You can see a demo of a HapYak project with this plugin enabled here.

Contact your Brightcove account representative about adding the plugin. If you'd like any assistance, e-mail us here any time.
